United Kingdom based airline Flybe has declared bankruptcy on March 5th, 2020.  The airline said in a statement that all flights have been officially grounded and that the business is ceasing immediately.

The airline spokesperson stated that government staff will be on hand at all affected airports in the United Kingdom to help stranded passengers.

The airline has asked bus and train operators, as well as competing airlines to accept Flybe tickets and assist passengers in need.

The financial difficulties that Flybe faces began long before the outbreak of the COVID-19, but the Coronavirus absolutely helped to expedite the process.

Flybe operated nearly 40% of all domestic flights within the United Kingdom.
